Info re Our In-Person Camp (good for 2022)
Mendocino Woodlands, Camp Three
Share in an intense weekend of Reclaiming-style, Earth-based spirituality, magic, and community!
Bay Area Reclaiming ritual planners invite you to join us in the redwoods at Mendocino Woodlands as we weave a web that crosses the generations.
Mysteries of Samhain is an intimate camp of less than fifty people, allowing each person to be woven into the community and the deep magic inspired by the land we inhabit for the weekend. This year, we will be cradled in the majestic beauty of Mendocino Woodlands, where we can greet the trees and other living beings and listen to our deep selves amid the sounds of nature.
Mysteries of Samhain is a do-it-ourselves, community-style camp. This is a magical intensive, not a festival or a drop-in camp. We ask that people plan to attend the entire event (unless advance arrangements are made) and be committed to creating camp culture.
Reclaiming is a diverse and inclusive tradition. Mysteries of Samhain especially invites young adults, BIPOC folks, and LGBTQ people. Please ask about scholarships and financial support. Folks new to Reclaiming are welcome – read our Principles of Unity here.

Special Safety Requirements for 2021 Camp (2022 plans may change)
Based on California state guidelines, Mendocino Woodlands requires that all adult campers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before camp. Being fully vaccinated means you have received a full course of vaccines and have allowed 2 weeks for them to take full effect. Having everyone fully vaccinated will significantly reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission as well as protect those whose health conditions put them at higher risk from COVID infection.
As of June 8, Mendocino Woodlands is required to collect documentation of vaccination from campers, as well as ensure that we have contact information in case contact tracing is needed after camp. If this policy remains in place, we will need a photo or scan of your vaccination card at least 2 weeks before camp.
In addition, we will ask for your explicit agreement to safe practices at camp, based on California guidelines for group events. We are still developing these plans and will share them when they are finalized, but they may include wearing masks and/or physical distancing in certain areas of camp.
We are working with the Woodlands and two other Woodlands-based Reclaiming camps to develop a safety plan for dining and kitchen work.
No policy can completely eliminate risk, and this fact will be reflected in the updated camper packet and waiver. We will ask you to read these materials carefully when we make them available before camp.
